Cormac McCarthy
July 20, 1933
Born in Providence, Rhode Island
Most widely known for his Border Trilogy, McCarthy is nearly as good as his most rabid boosters would have you believe. (But, I wish he would get over his aversion to quotation marks.)
Quote
"If there is an occupational hazard to writing, it's drinking."
